Vintage Style Snowman
A great project for kids! Make a family of snowmen and paint each hat a different color. Add a holly embellishment to the hat to make this guy or gal really stand out in a crowd. Nice addition for your Christmas village. NOTE: If you want to hang these on your Christmas tree, you will need to drill a tiny hole in the center of the top of the bottle cap so you can insert a screw hook, wire, raffia or thread for a hanger.
- Empty Danimal Drinkable Yogurt Container (outer wrapper removed)
- Cap from Empty Bottle (I used a small bottled water cap and a larger one for a taller hat)
- Paint Brush
- Black Acrylic Paint
- White Acrylic Paint
- Fine Point Permanent Markers (black, red, pink, orange)
- Glue
- White Glitter Dust
- 2 Twigs for Arms
Paint your bottle cap black, sprinkle with glitter and let dry. Paint the upper rim of the yogurt container black and let dry. Paint remainder of yogurt container with white acrylic paint and let dry. Paint a few white spots on your twigs and let dry. Draw a face to your liking with permanent markers on the upper portion of the container. Draw buttons. Glue hat on top of container and let dry. With a sharp object gently pierce a hole on each side of container and insert twigs for arms. Brush glue over entire body, on rim and a little on twigs. Sprinkle with glitter dust and let dry.
