Collecting Antique Christmas Tree Stands
Be on the lookout for rare, beautiful antique cast iron or other poured metal Christmas tree stands that were made in Germany during the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. These stands were designed for feather trees or tabletop trees, therefore, the opening is usually somewhere around 2” in diameter. Many times you can find a stand with German text stamped into the design. It’s a great bonus if you can find one with the original screws as they can sometimes be quite fanciful in addition to adding to the value. These wonderful tree stands certainly provide a unique touch to your Christmas decorating plus you also own a piece of the past.
